2022 Digital Marketing Predictions

The BuyGoods team recently had the opportunity to meet, mingle, and learn from the top direct response marketers in the industry.
 
Some of us attended Affiliate Summit West in Las Vegas. I jet setted off to Cabo San Lucas Mexico for Mimosa Mastermind.
 
It was a great way to wrap up another year in an industry that is always evolving and fueled by competition.
 
It also got me thinking about how we can best share the latest and greatest trends and support our affiliates and vendors going into the new year.
 
And so, I wanted to share my top three digital marketing predictions going into 2022. Tips and tricks from what the team learned to so you can stay updated on the latest tools to boost your revenue:

Artificial Intelligence
Perry Belcher gave an amazing presentation on the top A.I. software tools. These tools can help with content marketing, ad copy, and SEO optimization.

Some of my favorites he mentioned were Jarvis (you can get a free trial here) for content improvement. He also recommended Anyword for media buying.

These tools will allow marketers to better segment and only deliver top revenue-generating products to their audience. They can also automate media buying, improve SEO listings, and website content.

Video Content
This year was the year of YouTube. In Q3 alone, ad revenues topped seven billion dollars, a 43% increase from the same period last year.

YouTube isn’t going anywhere. But advertising costs have creeped up so marketers are already looking at the next big thing. TikTok.
 
In September, TikTok for Business launched a new suite of tools to help marketers better target and engage its massive user base. I see TikTok as a video content playground for businesses of all sizes and anticipate us hearing more about it in 2022.
 
Finally, I expect VSLs to make a transformation next year. There hasn’t been a major shift in the VSL (video sales letter) in many years, so it’s due for a facelift. 

Rich Schefren, founder of Strategic Profits, shared with us a “choose your own adventure" VSL. End users answer a series of questions from a short video and are presented case studies and offers based off of their answers. This super personalized strategy has shown to hike engagement rates and increase conversions. 
 
Done For You Services
According to data from the Census Bureau, 4.3 million Americans filed paperwork to start a new business last year. A 24% increase from 2019!

As a startup entrepreneur how do you do it all? You hire services to do it for you. Companies like Scalewind and Moguls360 offer creative, tech, funnel-building, and more so you can focus on growing your business. And it’s all for less than the cost of hiring another employee.

Looking Ahead
I always joke that my time in the internet marketing niche can be compared to dog years. If you’ve been in the industry for a year, so many things change, it feels like seven years.
 
Only (a short time!) will tell if any of the above ideas pick up traction. Or, if something else pops up to grab our attention and pull us in a new direction.
